a Kansas City photographer who believes the best images come from authentic connection and genuine moments. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a National Board Certified Reading Specialist working with elementary students in North Kansas City Schools.

Years of teaching have shaped the way I photograph:

• I know how to help kids (and adults!) feel comfortable.

• I model, guide, and support — not pose stiffly.

• And most importantly, I capture real expressions, not forced ones.

I blend storytelling, natural light, and emotion-focused photography to create images that feel warm, true, and honest. My goal is for every session to feel relaxed — like you’re spending time together, not “performing” for the camera.

• Tips for helping kids feel comfortable


During the session

Turnaround time is typically 1–2 weeks.
